We Nuzzle
We Nuzzle is a startup tech company based in Longboat Key, Fl. The mission at We Nuzzle is to connect people, pets, and caregivers. We Nuzzle plans to do this by introducing a new platform to connect gig workers in the pet-care space to people needing pet-care services. We Nuzzle launched a website and beta version of their web application in early 2020. We are currently hard at work on two separate mobile applications. We are developing an application for both the pet-care service provider (We call them “Nuzzlers”), and a separate application for the client to use when selecting a pet-care service and provider.
It is such an amazing pleasure to work with the team at We Nuzzle. As We Nuzzle’s UX/UI Designer, I worked alongside a small team in the creation of user-centered, concept designs for two new mobile applications. Our team conducted initial research into potential users of the platform, built concept designs for the platform, built working prototypes of the We Nuzzle phone applications, and started to gain feedback from potential users into the work we have done. In a few short months, our team has accomplished a lot, and I have learned so much along the way!
The work that we are doing at We Nuzzle is TOP SECRET (for now). So, I can’t say too much about our project here (yet). The work I did at We Nuzzle will be stored on a password-protected page of my site.

Contracted UI Design Role at Thomson Reuters
In a previous role, I was contracted as a UI Designer for a large company that offers specialized marketing services to small law firms. I was contracted to help build websites for these client law firms. When I started, the company training staff explained to me that the company I was joining was extremely busy. They had quite a backlog of sites that needed to be designed and launched immediately. After completing a two week training period, I was assigned as the lead designer on over 120 different projects.
This company has been building websites for attorneys for many years. All of their sites are created using the Divi for Wordpress page builder. Learning and using Divi was great fun! I got to be pretty good with it. One of the site’s that I worked on was awarded internally as a Website Design of the Month. All of the sites that I designed were strictly checked for ADA compliance and had to pass the companies internal QA testing. All of sites we were designing also needed to be fully responsive for mobile devices and tablets.
My average day at the office consisted of designing attorney websites as quickly as possible. At the same time, I worked with a team of vendor designers in India. I would communicate with our clients to get information about their site design project. Then, I would fill out and send a design brief to my vendor design team in India. As I was designing a single site myself, I had a team of 5 vendor designers working on other projects. Between the sites that I could turn out, and the work that came from our vendor design team, we were able to complete design work on over 15 websites per week!
My greatest responsibility in my role as a UI Designer was presenting completed site designs to our clients. This would typically happen via a conference call with the client. During the call, the client would be emailed a link to view my design on a preview site. The client and I would walk through the entire site together. I would explain my reasons behind the decisions made when designing the site. During the call I would ask the client for any feedback they could provide on my design. After our call I would make any client requested revisions and prep the site for launch.
Here is a random sampling of some of homepage designs that I worked on. Please feel free to contact me for a list of links to the live sites.
